Timberline - The altitude above sea level at which timber ceases to grow. Its location depends largely on temperature but also on soil, drainage, and other factors.

Top rope - n/vb a climb that has the rope anchors preset at the top of the climb. In general this requires shorter falls than a "lead"

Topo - n Abbreviation of Topographic Map

Topographic Map - n. Topographic maps use symbols and coloring, with particular attention given to the shape and elevations of terrain. Relief is portrayed by means of contour lines, hachures, shading, or coloring to represent elevations, depressions etc. They give specific detail to climbers of the physical terrain and attributes of climbing areas etc.

Traditional/ trad / trad climbing - n/adj Climbing that emphasizes longer routes and removable protection or natural protection.

Traverse - n. The sideways (vertical) movement of a climber along a rock face where the climber is not ascending but moving from one point to another across a vertical plane.

Twistlock Gate - A type of Karabiner often used by belayers to clip their stitch plate or belay device to their harness. It is quick release and ideal for opening and closing the gate quickly and often but is also very secure.
